About Us
The view is not one view. It’s the whole coast, depending which window you are standing at. From the living and dining, it’s Emu Bay and Bass Strait stretching out past the port, cranes and all with the CBD laid out below like a model of itself.
Open plan living shares a wraparound deck with a glass balustrade, so that the outlook is a place to sit, not just something to look at through glass. Raked ceiling in Myrtle, Tasmanian Oak and Queensland hooped pine overhead, double glazing keeping the wind out without shutting any of it down. Come the end of the day, the water picks up the light and throws it straight back through the doors.
The kitchen gets its own angle on it, over the sink, timber-cabinetry with a stainless splashback and appliances and a dishwasher.
The main bedroom is on this level. Wake up to the water, step straight onto the deck, built-in robes and ensuite with a king shower.
Downstairs, two more bedrooms take a different cut of the same coastline, corner windows angled over the CBD and the port instead of straight out to sea.
One is currently doing time as a home office, and whoever sits at that desk is getting paid to look at Bass Strait. The floor plan does not care which you call it.
Outside, the block steps down through established gardens, retaining walls and terracing, so even the backyard is built around holding the view rather than blocking it. Split system in the living areas, single garage and off street parking.
Burnie’s schools, shops and CBD are close enough to use and far enough not to hear, and none of it gets in the way of what is out the window.
